The “Ratschen” at Easter – experience the tradition

Enjoy the special atmosphere of this old tradition during the quiet time of Holy Week.

“Ratschen” is a tradition practiced in Catholic regions during Holy Week. Instead of church bells, wooden rattles are sounded to remind people of prayer times and church services.

For several years now, the Schützenkompanie Andrian has been bringing this almost forgotten tradition back to life.
